What: Enjoy a guided walking and tasting tour of unique Philadelphia chocolate shops and cafes on a Philadelphia Chocolate Tour. Learn about the history and health benefits of chocolate, and the history of the city of Philadelphia and the neighborhoods we visit, as you savor America's favorite flavor, and walk off the calories. Let us give you a private tour as a scrumptious outing for your family, office, bridal party, or other group. Or, join a public tour and make new chocolate-loving friends!
When:
Our public tours run as follows:
- Tuesdays at 12:45 pm
- Wednesdays at 12:45 pm
- Thursdays at 12:45 pm
- Fridays at 12:45 pm
- Saturdays at 10:45 am
- Saturdays at 2:45 pm
- Sundays at 11:45 am
- Sundays at 2:45 pm
The weekday tours are 2 to 2 1/2 hours long and weekend tours are 2 1/2 to 3 hours long. Advance registration is recommended because tours often sell out. If you're redeeming Groupons, please click here to redeem Groupons online!

Route: Our routes go through the vibrant Center City and Rittenhouse Square neighborhoods:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 12:45 pm: Famous 4th Street Cookie Company, Chocolate By Mueller, Pennsylvania General Store, Marcie Blaine Artisanal Chocolates, and Capogiro Gelato.
Saturdays at 10:45 am: Famous 4th Street Cookie Company, Marcie Blaine Artisanal Chocolates, Teuscher Chocolates of Switzerland, John & Kira's, and Capogiro Gelato.
Saturdays at 2:45 pm: Famous 4th Street Cookie Company, Pennsylvania General Store, Marcie Blaine Artisanal Chocolates, Teuscher Chocolates of Switzerland, and Capogiro Gelato.
Sundays at 11:45 am: Famous 4th Street Cookie Company, Pennsylvania General Store, Marcie Blaine Artisanal Chocolates, Teuscher Chocolates of Switzerland, and Capogiro Gelato.
Sundays at 2:45 pm: Famous 4th Street Cookie Company, Pennsylvania General Store, Marcie Blaine Artisanal Chocolates, Teuscher Chocolates of Switzerland, and Capogiro Gelato.
Routes are subject to change due to store hours, etc.
Walking level: Weekday tours involve an easy walk while weekend tours involve an intermediate level of walking.

Meet: Meet at Reading Terminal Market, at 12th Street and Filbert, outside under the Reading Terminal sign, across from Maggiano's and the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (map). Please note that tours do not end where they start, but end near Rittenhouse Square. Our Tourguides can point you in any direction you need to go after the tour!
Cost: $40 per person for a public tour, $60 per person for a private tour. (Prices include chocolate!) Group rates are available. Advance registration, please.
