Valentine's Day

We always say that chocolate is love in edible form! Looking for a way to celebrate love with chocolate? See below for our 5 ideas!

1. Take our special Chocolate & Champagne Tour

In addition to our chocolate tours 52 weeks a year, we also offer a special once-a-year-only tour: our Chocolate & Champagne Tour, the Friday before Valentine's Day. This year it will be on Friday, February 10, at 5:00 pm, starting at 12th and Filbert outside of Reading Terminal Market. Guests will sample chocolate treats with Champagne themes, as well as glasses of Champagne, and will meet special Visiting Chocolatiers, and will learn the history and fun facts about both chocolate and Champagne. Additional details are at www.philadelphiachocolatetours.com/events. $50 per person.

2. Take a tour on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is Tuesday, February 14, 2012, and we'll offer a chocolate tour that day at 12:45 pm which will run until 2:30 pm! Chocolate is romantic any day of the year, and on Valentine's Day in addition to sampling extra special treats for the season, you'll learn facts about why people have linked chocolate and romance throughout history and which famous royals believed in chocolate's aphrodisiac powers! $40 per person for the Philadelphia Chocolate Tour (www.philadelphiachocolatetours.com/tours-and-schedules/).

3. Give Philadelphia Chocolate Tours gift certificates

Our gift certificates can be sent to you or directly to your gift recipient, in hard copy, or by email, and they never expire. www.philadelphiachocolatetours.com/gift-certificates/. $40 per person.

4. Propose marriage on a Philadelphia Chocolate Tour

We customize the tour for the couple, and this could range from having us pick up the ring in advance and tuck it under a specially marked truffle on a silver tray, to having a flash mob appear and sing the couple's favorite song before he pops the question! Once the couple is engaged we can take care of the bachelorette party with a chocolate tour! Engagement tours are $40 per person for a public tour, or $120 per couple for a private tour, plus any extras that are selected, such as singers or flowers. And, the couple can take a free tour with us every year to celebrate their anniversary!

5. Add a romance option to a Philadelphia Chocolate Tour any day of the year

We can customize a public or private Philadelphia Chocolate Tour with the romance option of your choice: enjoy a Champagne toast after the tour or with a horse and carriage ride after the tour (more popular in summer!). All the arrangements will be made in advance for you, and your Tourguide will escort you to the location. Public tours are $40 per person, and the schedule is at www.philadelphiachocolatetours.com/tours-and-schedules/. Private tours are $120 per couple. The Champagne toast and horse and carriage ride are extra.
